Royal Court Date! Princess Kate and Prince William Enjoy Kid-Free Wimbledon Outing

Posted By: Admin - 08:16
Prince William and Princess Kate left the kids at home on Wednesday for a soggy afternoon date at Wimbledon's Centre Court. (But hey, no kids!)

The parents of Prince George and Princess Charlotte – who just celebrated Charlotte's christening on Sunday – were in the stands to watch local favorite Andy Murray play his quarter-final match against Canada's Vasek Pospisil. (The score is currently 3-1 to Murray.)

Sitting in the royal box on a rainy afternoon, Kate – sporting new, shorter layers around her face – wore a $384 cardinal red Cayla Long Dress from LK Bennett, as she and William, in a suit and tie, watched the grand slam event after arriving in a Jaguar.

When the rain stopped play after 15 minutes, William and Kate chatted with other members of the royal box, including William's aunt Sophie, Countess of Wessex, ex-Wimbledon champion Billie Jean King and Prince Albert of Monaco

A 12-year-old boy wanted in connection with a murder has been arrested almost 400 miles away from the shooting scene.
Jarrell Milton vanished after Jamymell Ray, 31, was fatally shot in Omaha, Nebraska, on June 29.
His brother Jamar Milton, 17, and Shuntayvious Primes-Willis, 15, have been charged with first-degree murder. They appeared in court and were denied bond on Tuesday.
Prosecutors say that Ray and friend Charles Fisher had arranged to meet the kids in a park to sell them marijuana when they were hit by gunfire.

Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine told WOWT that all three young suspects had carried weapons.
Fisher, 30, was treated and released from the hospital.

Hillary Clinton: GOP on 'Spectrum of Hostility' Towards Immigrants

Posted By: Admin - 05:47

Hillary Clinton on Tuesday said that the GOP 2016 field is on "a spectrum of hostility" towards immigrants, accusing Republicans of failing to condemn Donald Trump immediately for his controversial comments about Mexicans.
Clinton told CNN in an interview that she is "very disappointed" in Trump's remarks, adding that the Republicans seeking the White House are "all in the same general area on immigration."
"They range across a spectrum of being either grudgingly welcome or hostile towards immigrants," she said, adding that none - including Jeb Bush - back a pathway to citizenship for the undocumented population.
"If he did at one time, he no longer does," she said of the former Florida governor's stance on creating such a pathway.
Responding to Clinton's comments, Bush spokesperson Emily Benavides said that Hillary Clinton "has once again changed her position on an issue for politically expedient purposes."
"After voting for the poison pill amendment that stopped immigration reform in its tracks as a Senator and saying she believed the unaccompanied minors 'should be sent back' to their home countries last year, she is now running further to the left on immigration policy than even President Obama's White House believes is legally feasible," Benavides said, adding that Bush supports "earned legal status" for undocumented immigrants who meet certain requirements.
During the interview, the 2016 Democratic frontrunner emphasized that she is "100% behind comprehensive immigration reform that includes a path to citizenship."
"I think that we know we're not going to deport 11 or 12 million people," she added. "We shouldn't be breaking up families. We shouldn't be stopping people from having the opportunity to be fully integrated legally within our country."

The interview was Clinton's first sit-down with a national television network since declaring her candidacy. More of the interview is slated to air this afternoon on CNN.

Greece debt crisis: Eurozone sets deadline for new plan

Posted By: Admin - 15:07

The eurozone has given Greece until Thursday to present new proposals to secure a deal with creditors, and has called a full EU summit for Sunday.
The moves came after an emergency eurozone leaders' summit in Brussels.
European Council President Donald Tusk said this was now the "most critical moment in the history of the eurozone".
The eurozone had expected Greece to submit fresh plans on Tuesday after its voters rejected a deal in a referendum, but no new proposals were tabled.
On Sunday, a meeting of all 28 members of the European Union will be held.
